SACAY

Sacay is a new multicultural establishment with a Balinese atmosphere in Marbella, which successfully combines several formats. The main indoor areas and the terrace functions as a restaurant while the seaside strip is designed for leisure beach activity. We wanted to redefine the typical chiringuito concept of the area by bringing the Indonesian jungle and its craftsmanship to the beach.

ENTRANCE
We designed the entrance area by working with variations of tiles and mosaics in teal and white color. In our projects we also like to look for authentic pieces that can really amplify and give character to the space. While traveling through southeast Indonesia we met a talented indonesian craftsman who created these stunning hand crafted sculptures that were then imported to Spain.
INTERIOR SEATING
The main room of the beach club is very bright and airy due to both sides being designed with floor to ceiling windows that can be fully opened up. Its the kind of space that welcomes and mixes with the outdoors, rather than hiding you away from it. A splash of color was added with the fabrics of the chairs that go well with the teal toned carpentry design.
THE EXTERIOR
The seaside strip is designed for leisure beach activity. Sun loungers with tropical styled parasols are set up along the the shoreline while the outdoor terrace is covered by a custom made pergola using wooden trunks and natural sun sails. The overwhelming use of natural materials in combination with the sand creates a uniquely inviting atmosphere.
